Privacy Policy

DarziKhata is a shop management app for tailors, darzi shops and boutiques, published by Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor). This policy explains what information the app handles and how. In short: DarziKhata is local-first — your business data is stored on your own device, and (only if you choose) backed up to your own Google Drive. There is no DarziKhata server that receives or stores your data.

Who we are

The app is provided by Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor) (“we”, “us”), Raiganj, West Bengal, India. For any privacy question or request, contact tapasdutta@outlook.com.

No account, no signup

DarziKhata does not require you to create an account. You set up your shop and start straight away; the data you enter stays on your device unless you enable Google Drive backup.

What data the app handles

You enter and store this information locally on your device:

  • Customers — name, and optionally phone number, gender, address, photo and notes, and family members you add under a customer (name, relation).
  • Orders and job cards — garments, measurements, style notes, dates, status and design or cloth photos.
  • Measurements — garment measurements and reference photos.
  • Ledger — advances, payments, dues, expenses and payment references you record.
  • Workers — name, optional phone, piece rates, advances and payments.
  • Shop profile — shop name, logo, phone, country, currency and (optional) tax number.

All of the above is stored in a database and photo folder on your device. We do not receive or have access to it.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you turn on backup, DarziKhata copies its database and photos to a private folder in your own Google Drive (the app-specific “appDataFolder”), which is accessible only to the app on your Google account. Google sign-in is used solely to authorize this backup and to restore it on a new phone. Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor) does not have access to your Google Drive or its contents. You can remove this data at any time — see the Data Deletion page.

App usage statistics and crash reports

To learn which features are used and to fix problems, DarziKhata uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. They receive only anonymous, technical information — for example that an order was created or a bill was shared, which screens were opened, the app language and country setting, and crash details (device model, Android version, app version). They never include names, phone numbers, addresses, amounts, measurements, notes or photos.

DarziKhata does not collect the Android advertising ID and has no ads. Statistics are sent only from the app installed through Google Play — not from test, emulator or development copies. Google processes them for us as a service provider under the Firebase privacy terms.

Device permissions

  • Camera & Photos — only to attach cloth or design photos, a customer photo or your shop logo, when you choose to.
  • Contacts — only if you tap “Import from contacts”, to copy a customer’s name and phone into the form. The app does not read or upload your contacts otherwise.
  • Notifications — to show the delivery, trial and payment reminders you schedule.
  • Biometrics — only if you turn on fingerprint unlock; your fingerprint never leaves Android.
  • Internet — only for Google Drive backup and restore, Google Play purchases, anonymous usage statistics and crash reports.

WhatsApp & SMS reminders, bills and slips

When you send a reminder or share a bill, measurement slip or report, DarziKhata opens your own WhatsApp, SMS or share app with the message or file ready — you press send. The app does not send messages on your behalf and does not store them on any server.

Purchases

DarziKhata Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Payment is handled by Google Play; DarziKhata does not receive or store your card, UPI or payment details.

Sharing & selling

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. The app contains no ads. Your data leaves your device only when you choose to — for example, when you back up to your own Google Drive, or share a bill, slip or report through another app you pick.

This website

darzikhata.duttatech.in has no sign-in and no forms, and never receives anything from the app. It uses the Google tag for Google Ads, which may set cookies to count visits that come from our ads and clicks on the Google Play button. You can block these cookies in your browser without losing anything on the site.

Security

Your data is protected by your device’s own security. DarziKhata also offers an optional PIN and fingerprint app lock to keep measurements and dues private on a shared phone.

Children

DarziKhata is a business tool for shop owners and is not directed at children.

Retention & deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You are fully in control — you can erase everything in the app, by uninstalling, or by revoking Drive access. Anonymous usage statistics are kept by Google Analytics for up to 14 months and crash reports by Crashlytics for 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version.
